Appendix: Basic Knowledge

Deep learning (DL) is a subfield of machine learning (ML), which is itself a subset of artificial intelligence (AI).

Understanding AI requires a wide range of technical and mathematical disciplines.

However, to grasp the fundamentals of the Transformer model, a deep learning technique and our first goal, only basic Python and mathematics knowledge are necessary.
